Boots Centre for innovation has
been set up to identify future customer needs in the health & beauty
sector, stimulate global innovation and provide the expertise and network
to bring ideas to life.
Established in 2007, Boots Centre for Innovation is a dynamic, not-for-profit
partnership between Boots, Longbow Capital and the Welsh Assembly Government
and is based at The Institute of Life Science, Swansea. The Centre’s
aim is to work closely with early stage companies or lone inventors
to develop pioneering products for the shelves of Boots stores and ultimately
to improve the quality of life for Boots consumers.
While Boots develops many successful products in their own research
facilities, ambitious growth plans mean that Boots want to further enhance
their successful product ranges. Boots plan to do this by bringing more
ideas to market through working in partnership with external third parties.
At the Boots Centre for Innovation we understand that innovation is
global in reach and we therefore welcome entrepreneurs from around the
world to present their health & beauty concepts for consideration.
At its base in Swansea University, Boots Centre for Innovation provides:
| Business knowledge including, product development expertise, marketing knowledge and general business management | |
| Access to a wealth of scientific expertise | |
| Funding | |
